The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) – Social Lab is a centre for social indicators research under the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS. Established in 2013, Social Lab conducts high-quality research on social attitudes, perceptions, and behaviours in Singapore using robust survey methods and statistical analyses. We support national research efforts through longitudinal and cross-sectional studies that inform policymaking and deepen public understanding of socio-economic trends. As the fieldwork arm of IPS, Social Lab is responsible for major surveys such as the IPS Perception of Policies in Singapore (POPS) and the Singapore Panel Study on Social Dynamics (SPSSD). Our work plays a key role in shaping data-driven insights for Singapore’s evolving society.
