Join The Smokehouse Collective as a Part-Time Packer / Kitchen Assistant! We’re looking for a reliable and organised team member to support our kitchen and daily order fulfilment operations.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced food environment and takes pride in making sure every customer order is prepared accurately and dispatched on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack food products and customer orders accurately according to order lists.

• Check that all items, quantities and add-ons are included before dispatch.

• Label, organise and prepare orders for delivery or self-collection.

• Coordinate the handover of completed orders to delivery drivers and help ensure orders are dispatched on time.

• Carry out simple food preparation, including heating ready-to-eat dishes and portioning or arranging food items.

• Assist with receiving, checking and organising incoming stock.

• Store ingredients and food products correctly according to food-safety procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, packing and storage areas.

• Wash and sanitise kitchen equipment, trays, utensils and work surfaces.

• Support the kitchen and operations team with other day-to-day tasks when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid WSQ Food Safety certification is preferred

• Responsible, punctual and able to work independently.

• Careful and organised, with good attention to detail when packing orders.

• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable handling food and following proper kitchen hygiene procedures.

• Able to stand for extended periods and carry food cartons or supplies when required.

• Prior experience in food packing, kitchen operations or food preparation is an advantage, but not compulsory.

• Availability on weekends and peak periods is preferred.

Hourly Rate

$11–$13 per hour, depending on experience.
