The Smokehouse Collective is looking for a friendly, proactive, and sales-driven Shop Assistant to join our retail team on weekends.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking to customers, introducing products, offering samples, and encouraging walk-ins to explore what we have in-store.

What We Sell:
• Marinated premium meats
• Cured meats and charcuterie
• Imported cheeses
• Wines, alcohol, and pairings
• Pastries and gourmet snacks
• Platters, BBQ items, and hosting essentials

Job Responsibilities:
• Cut and prepare cheeses for retail display and customer orders
• Offer samples to walk-in customers and actively encourage them to visit the shop
• Introduce and recommend our meats, cheeses, charcuterie, wines, pastries, and gourmet products
• Support upselling and product pairing recommendations
• Assist with packing, product display, stock arrangement, and general shop cleanliness
• Help create a welcoming and engaging retail experience for customers

What We’re Looking For:
• Confident, friendly, and comfortable approaching customers
• Proactive in offering samples and engaging walk-in traffic
• Sales-driven and motivated to hit targets
• Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn
• Able to maintain food hygiene and cleanliness
• Prior F&B, retail, sales, or sampling experience is a plus
• Comfortable handling and introducing food and alcohol-related products, where applicable

Working Hours:
Weekends, 12pm–9pm

Pay:
$10–$12/hour + 10% sales commission
