Part-Time Retail Assistants Wanted!

Pay: $11.00–$12.00/hour + Performance Incentives

We’re looking for friendly, outgoing and confident individuals who enjoy engaging customers, learning about different cheeses and making thoughtful recommendations. If you’re energetic, proactive and comfortable starting conversations, we’d love to have you on our team.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome and engage customers as they enter the store
• Introduce and recommend our range of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, cheese platters, accompaniments and gourmet products
• Understand customers’ preferences and recommend suitable cheeses, pairings or platters
• Help customers select products for everyday enjoyment, gifting, gatherings and special occasions
• Handle customer orders and operate the POS system
• Pack and prepare customer orders accurately for delivery or self-collection
• Check that products, quantities and add-ons are complete before orders are handed over
• Assist with packing cheeses, platters and other retail products when required
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked retail space
• Assist with restocking, product displays and basic inventory management
• Support opening and closing operations
• Work closely with the team to deliver an excellent customer experience

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, outgoing personality with a positive attitude
• Comfortable approaching and engaging customers proactively
• Good spoken English and strong communication skills
• Sales-oriented and confident recommending products and upselling where appropriate
• An interest in cheese, food or gourmet products is a plus — product knowledge will be taught
• Careful and organised when handling and packing customer orders
• Reliable, responsible and willing to learn
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Available to work weekends and flexible shifts
