Job description

We are looking for coaches to help facilitate our forest school weekly sessions as well as holiday camps. As a forest school our session are conducted differently in that we want to give a lot of room to children for their self discovery, so that they can make choices and do things that they want. When children have the opportunity to do this, they will develop a better sense of self esteem and it will lead to a more positive outlook in life in general for the long term. 

We provide a holistic learning opportunity here. From their own imaginative play, to learning survival skills, to learning about how to love the world we live in - the plants, animals and fellow humans, thinking about how to live sustainably, to learning about different cultures around the world to give them a broader view of life. 

Children are naturally positively motivated to learn in the outdoors. And we want to make use of that natural instinct to learn and do things. We call this a child-led learning approach. You'll find that every session in the outdoors feels like a new session and children can continously play in the outdoors every week.
 

If you enjoy working with children, watching them develop in their own right, gain in confidence and self esteem; if you enjoy the outdoor natural environment, you don't mind getting dirty to have lots of fun in return, then do send in your application.

As you learn the forest school way, we also learn how to be more authentic as human beings, to be true to our feelings and that is so vital to our own happiness and health as well.
