Job description

Location: Singapore (Remote)
Job Type: Part Time, 1-month Contract

 

About the Role

Knowledge Platform is seeking a passionate and experienced Math Teacher with deep knowledge of MOE-aligned Primary and Secondary math curricula. You will work with our instructional design teams to develop short, data-driven video interventions for a game-based learning program.

 

Responsibilities

Curriculum-Aligned Teaching Content

  • Deliver weekly video lessons (3–4 minutes) focused on core topics aligned with Singapore’s MOE curriculum for Upper Primary (P5–6) and Lower Secondary (Sec 1–2).
  • Record teacher-facing explanation videos and screen recordings for use in game-based math platforms.

Student Performance Analysis

  • Review student data from online game performance to identify misconceptions and weak areas.
  • Collaborate with the instructional design team to fine-tune teaching strategies.

Timely Video Production

  • Follow a fixed weekly schedule to review scripts and record videos by designated deadlines (typically over the weekend).
  • Ensure videos are visually clear, pedagogically sound, and easy to follow.
  • Make timely revision if the video recorded has conceptual errors or visual/sound quality issues.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, education, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of math teaching experience in Singapore, preferably in a mainstream or international school setting.

Professional Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of the Singapore MOE math curriculum for Upper Primary and Lower Secondary.
  • Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly using real-world examples.
  • Confident in front of the camera; strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, basic video recording tools, and tablet screen recording.
  • Highly organized with ability to meet weekly production deadlines.
  • Demonstrated creativity, attention to detail, and an uncompromising attitude toward educational quality.

Weekly Commitment (Estimated)

  • Per Week: 4 scripts reviewed and 4 videos, each about 3-4 minutes long, recorded
    (Teacher explanation video + screen walkthrough per grade level)
  • Estimated effort per Video: 1.5 hours (script review, recording, and revisions)
  • Total Estimated Time: 6 hours/week
